Yin Ji Chang Fen 銀記腸粉

Loved everything! Came on a Monday morning so there was no line/wait. On the weekends, you can see a line going out the door! We got the R01, R19, C18, S18, and SW3.

Our favorite rice noodle roll (cheung fun) shop! Every time we take the ferry from Victoria to Vancouver for errands, we make a special trip by car just to support this place. We've been visiting many times since it opened in 2022. The service and food quality have remained consistently excellent — we're very satisfied. We'll continue to support and visit. Yin Ji was the perfect spot to end our Vancouver trip! The Chinese donuts, rice roll, and Hong Kong-style milk tea were absolutely delicious—definitely a highlight. The porridge was also comforting and tasty. We also ordered the house-made fish soup dumplings, which were a perfect fit for the cold weather—so warm and flavorful. The only letdown was the condensed milk toast, which wasn’t the usual deep-fried version I expected. It didn't quite hit the mark for me. Despite that, the overall experience was fantastic, and I’d definitely recommend this place for a satisfying meal. Great food, friendly service, and a great way to cap off our trip!

Had a hankering for a taste of Hong Kong, so we ordered take out, and everything was delicious! The Beef brisket Lo mein and Durian mochi balls were the highlight - both bursting with flavour with the prefect textures. Their Chinese donut and Shrimp spring rolls were fried to perfection. The Pork & Egg congee and Chicken congee were pretty good, and the Rice rolls were decent (they are probably a lot better texture-wise at the restaurant). Overall, we love this cafe and will keep coming back for more.

We came early on a Saturday and there was a little wait for table for two. I can see why it's so busy at Yin Ji Chang Fen is a hidden gem for delicious and affordable Cantonese food. As we waited, they gave us menu, paper and pencil to order in advance of getting a table. Very organized. As soon as we were seated (we waited no longer than 5 minutes) our beverages were delivered. Soon the food order rolled out! The rice rolls are perfectly steamed and come with a variety of delicious fillings. The congee is smooth, flavourful, and perfect for a cozy meal. Now when are we going back???? Definitely soon!

Excellent rice noodles with chewy texture and adequate portion sizes for the price. Very quick efficient service. Very busy at peak meal times but moves fast. Cash or debit card only. No credit cards accepted.

Craving: Steamed rice rolls!! This place hit the spot. Under 10 for a steaming hot plate of soft, slippery, savoury rice rolls. I chose shrimp and pork filling, while my sister had beef and shrimp in hers. Our orders came out hot and quick and they were DELICIOUS. Fillings were generous, sauce was yummy, as was the chili oil at the table. Hot soy milk was yummy as was the Iced milk tea (ice on the outside for maximum tea!) Will definitely be back!

First time ordering from this place via delivery, and it won't be my last. That R17 Beef Brisket Rice Noodle Roll is sooo good! They're generous with the beef too. The meat was very flavorful and tender. Will definitely order this again. The R23 Shrimp & Scallop with Chives Rice Noodle Roll had a generous amount of shrimp and tender slices of scallop. S18 Crispy Shrimp Roll With Thai Sauce was definitely crispy. Milk Tea was also delicious. I'm definitely ordering from this restaurant again even if it's a bit pricey. It came up to 48 plus tax and tip for the 2 rice rolls, shrimp egg rolls and 1 tea.
